Explore & Learn
California State Parks offers a number of opportunities for young and old alike to explore and learn at the California State Railroad Museum, Old Sacramento State Historic Park, and Railtown 1897 State Historic Park. In this section are programs on railroad history and safety, along with hands-on handcars and train rides that highlight the activities available to school groups on a reservation basis. This section also contains information on railroad and Gold Rush history topics.
